I got married on Saturday, November 24th. I married the most wonderful man I’ve ever met and with whom I’m insanely in love.
I am the luckiest woman in the world. I never had a moment of hesitation or a single doubt. I know that I love Jay with all of my heart and soul, and I want to be with him for ever.
I’m hoping that somebody managed to get a picture of Jay’s face when I walked down the aisle. I do believe that you could have aptly described it as ‘awestruck’.
Everything was beautiful and perfect. Looking back, I wouldn’t change a thing! Considering we got engaged on Labor Day and only had a little over two months to get it put together, I would say that everything came together perfectly. It was just meant to be.
I remember standing at the altar and hoping that Jay knew what he was getting into. I hoped that there weren’t any doubts on his part. He reassured me that there were not and that he is truly happy. It seems silly, but I get happier every day just knowing that I’m married to him. That probably makes a lot of people feel ill, but I don’t care. Jay and I really do love each other that much.
I’m still waiting for our official pictures, so for now the ones that I stole off of Facebook will just have to do.
This was when we entered the reception. We wanted to really make a statement, so Jay told me to carry him. There’s not much to him so I was easily able to do it and it really brought a huge laugh out of the room. The main compliments we received were about my dress (which I hope the photographer managed to get some good pictures of), the entrance into the reception, and how much fun everybody had. That was the whole point of everything. We just wanted everybody to have a good time. We had a GREAT time! We were so disappointed when it was all over.
Here is a picture of my new husband and my new mother-in-law during their dance. Karen is such a sweetheart! We joke that when Jay and I move into our new house, which is only three doors down from Karen’s, that we are going to paint glow-in-the-dark arrows on the sidewalk. That way no matter which house we are at we can find our way home after spending the evening drinking wine. lol. I really do love Karen and I’m lucky to have her as my new mother-in-law and neighbor.
Here I am with Hannah. I was introduced to her and her and her parents last year when I started dating Jay. They live just a couple blocks away and she is such a cutie! According to her mom, Hannah was so excited about the wedding that her and her friend practiced dancing all week! As soon as Jay walked into the reception Hannah ran up to him and told him that she had to have the first dance. He worked it out so that she did. Later, she caught the bouquet. She spent as much time out on the dance floor with us as possible. I think that she will be talking about our reception for years!
Those are all of the pictures that I have to show you for now. We had a great time and we truly felt so blessed to be surrounded by so many people who love us. It was a perfect day. 🙂
P.S. – I apologize if there are links randomly in my post. I tried to delete them, but it didn’t work. I didn’t post any links to anything so don’t try to open them. Thanks!
Everything was beautiful, and I’m so happy for you! Hannah was adorable. 🙂
Showed Eric your pictures and he says you’re gorgeous. Congrats!
