I don’t think that I can do an adequate job of expressing in words everything that I feel when I think about September 11, 2001. I was in college and it all seemed so surreal. The fear of the unknown. The sadness and disbelief regarding the death and destruction. The American spirit that was reborn and pulled us together on September 12th even during our grief. It’s been ten years and yet I still feel raw when I think about this day. Because I don’t know what else to say, I’m going to try to express myself in pictures. Please pray for all of those who lost their lives and the loved ones whom they left behind. Please pray for the police, firemen, EMT’s and other rescue personnel who put their lives at risk every day in order to keep us safe and out of harm’s way. And please pray for our military men and women, and their families, who do the hard work and make the sacrifices for us so that we can continue to enjoy our freedom.
And finally, I would like to highlight a company who I think deserves some recognition. This is a commercial Budweiser did for 9-11. They only aired it once so that they wouldn’t benefit from it financially. They just wanted to acknowledge that horrible day and to pay tribute to America and its heroes.
